These are the most common problems, what they mean and how to fix them. Nearly all of them come from one of three causes: the server can't verify the pack, the resource starts in the wrong order, or a model name is misspelled.
Installation and Licensing#
"Could not find dependency /assetpacks"
Your server artifacts are too old to recognise protected asset packs. Update FXServer to a current recommended build, then restart.
"You lack the required entitlement"
The server's license key belongs to a different Cfx.re account from the one that bought the pack. Generate a server key on the purchasing account, put it in sv_licenseKey and restart. Download the pack again from that same account.
"Couldn't find resource everyday_homes"
The folder is not inside resources/, or its name doesn't match the ensure line. The folder must be called everyday_homes, spelled exactly the same in server.cfg.
Shells In Game#
The shell is not offered by the housing script
Either the shell was never added to the housing script's list, or the script wasn't restarted after you added it. For qs-housing, check Config.shells against Integrations.
The player falls through the floor or sees an empty void
The model never loaded. Usually everyday_homes isn't started, it starts after the housing script, or the model name has a typo. To check that a model is streamed, add this command to any client script you use for testing:
RegisterCommand('checkshell', function(_, args)
local name = args[1] or 'qs_housing_shell_med_01'
print(name, IsModelInCdimage(joaat(name)) and 'is streamed' or 'is NOT streamed')
end)Run /checkshell qs_housing_shell_small_01 and read the result in the F8 console. NOT streamed means the resource isn't running for that player or the name is wrong.
The player appears inside a wall or outside the house
The shell loaded, but the housing script puts the player in the wrong spot. The door offset that script uses for that shell is wrong. Set it to the position just inside the front door.
The interior takes a moment to appear the first time
This is normal. The first time a player enters, their game downloads the pack, about 9 MB in total. After that it is cached, and later visits load straight away.
Still stuck? Open a ticket and include three things: the console output around
everyday_homes(the start line or the error shown instead), the name of your housing script, and the model name you are using.
