Fuel Stations 3.0 keeps the name and the exports of 2.x, but moves almost everything that used to live in config.lua into the database, where it is edited in game. This page covers what changed, what to remove, and how to bring a customised 2.x server across without losing anything you care about.
What Changed#
Area | In 2.x | In 3.0 |
|---|---|---|
Stations |
| Rows in |
The station table |
| A new |
New in 3.0, and worth knowing before players notice:
Prices — base prices in the Economy tab, an optional override per station, and an optional market that moves them over time.
Consumption — a load-based model (throttle, RPM, speed, damage, class and model) tuned live. Switch it off to hand fuel drain back to GTA.
Vehicle grades — petrol, diesel or electric per model, edited in Economy → Vehicles.
The pump screen — grades, amounts, payment by cash or card, and a live gauge.
Delivery job — a contracts panel, pay per station, and persistent levels with pay and experience bonuses.
What stays the same: the resource name
qs-fuelstations, theGetFuelandSetFuelexports, and the LegacyFuel compatibility. Scripts that read or set fuel through Fuel Stations need no change.
Upgrading Step by Step#
Back up
Export your database and copy your old
qs-fuelstationsfolder somewhere outsideresources/. You will want the oldconfig.luaas a reference for your custom stations and prices.Replace the folder
Stop the server and delete the old
qs-fuelstationsfolder completely — do not copy 3.0 over it, or stale 2.x files stay behind. Then follow Installation, including the newfuelstations-propsresource.Import the new SQL
Import
sql/database.sql. It drops the oldfuel_stationstable (andfuel_station_pumpsif an earlier build created it) and creates the new ones with the 54 default stations. Station stock starts again at 100%.Bring your custom stations across
If you had added or moved stations in
Config.GasStationsorConfig.ChargeStations, place them again with/fuelcreator. The station list has a teleport button, and the free camera places the centre, the pumps and the delivery point in a few clicks. Delete any default station you do not want.Re-apply prices and electric models
Open the Economy tab in the creator. Set the base price of each grade, and add any addon EVs or diesel models from your old electric list under Vehicles. Save — it reaches every player at once.
Review the new config values
Copy your framework, target, jerrycan and job settings into the new
config.luaby hand rather than pasting the old file over it. Pay special attention toConfig.PriceMode— it ships as'market'; set'static'if you want fixed prices like 2.x.
