Quasar Matrix is a library of police setups made by other servers, built into the admin panel. Instead of placing every shop, writing a penal code article by article or building a lightbar piece by piece, you can install what someone else already made — and share your own.
Open it from Admin panel → Quasar Matrix (/policeadmin). It ships with Police Creator 1.6.0.
What can be shared#
Kind | What it carries |
|---|---|
Department setup | One job's MDT permissions and grade overrides, dispatch settings and blips, tablet content (hidden blocks, licences it manages, renamed labels), penal code access, its wardrobe and its outfit lockers. |
Penal code | A department's chapters and articles with fines, sentences, gravity and tags. |
Station locations | Equipment shops, item storage, evidence storage, fine desks, fleet garages and fleet dealers, placed on the map. |
Tablet theme | A theme of the appearance studio (Admin → Appearance). |
Lightbar preset | A lightbar built in qs-police-veh-creator: every light piece, where it sits on the car, its numpad groups and siren tone. |
Award catalogue | A department's award categories with each award's name, description and image. |
Radio & chat | Radio groups with their frequencies and who may join them, broadcast buttons, and the department chat channels. |
Webhooks, ace permissions, player data and identifiers never travel.
Installing something#
Explore lists what has been shared for Police Creator. Filter by kind or search.
Open an item to see what it contains — its stats, its contents and, for locations, where everything is on the map.
Press Install. The wizard asks only what depends on your server:
Places — keep the author's spot, move it, or (for things made for an MLO you do not have) leave it out.
Jobs and grades — which of your jobs and ranks it applies to.
Items, vehicles, props — your server's equivalent when the name differs.
Confirm. Anything that could not be used is listed afterwards.
Nothing from the hub is written to your database as it arrives. Every install is rebuilt through the same checks the admin pages use — unknown fields are dropped, numbers are clamped, names are validated — so an installed setup is exactly what you would have made by hand.
Installed shows everything you installed, whether you have edited it since, and whether a newer version exists. Open a code installs a package someone sent you as a code instead of through the hub, with the same checks.
What is added and what is replaced#
Kind | Default | Optional |
|---|---|---|
Department setup | Stops if the job is already configured | Replace overwrites it and its wardrobe |
Penal code | Chapters are added after the department's own | Replace deletes the current code first |
Station locations, themes, lightbar presets | Always added as new | — |
Award catalogue | Added; an award the category already has is kept | — (replacing would delete awards officers already hold) |
Radio & chat | Merged: groups gain the frequencies and jobs they lack, existing buttons and channels are kept | Replace swaps all groups, buttons and channels |
Lightbar presets#
Installing a lightbar preset needs qs-police-veh-creator running, and the department must be in its Config.Jobs. The preset is checked against your Config.LightModels: a light your config does not offer to that job, a tone not in Config.SirenTones, or pieces over Config.MaxLightsPerVehicle are left out, and you are told how many. The preset is saved public for the whole department, for the same vehicle model it was built on.
Outfits#
Outfits are drawable numbers from the author's clothing packs. If your server uses different packs, check them in the locker after installing.
Publishing your own#
Publishing needs the server linked to a Quasar account:
Open the Connection tab and press Link this server.
Sign in on the page that opens and confirm. You become the server's owner.
Link once: every Quasar script on the server shares the same link. Your staff can then link their own accounts from the same tab, with a role — member (installs, rates and reports), publisher (also publishes), admin (also manages members) or owner.
Then, in Publish:
Pick what to share on the left — a department, a penal code, a set of locations (everything, one kind, or everything one department uses), a theme, a preset, an award catalogue or your radio plan.
Check what it needs from other servers: mark places made for an MLO, and which references may be left out.
Give it a title, description and screenshots taken in game, and publish.
Unlisted items are reachable by link but not listed; private ones only you can open.
"This server moved"#
The server is recognised by a hash of its license key token (never the token itself). If you change host, IP or license key, the Connection tab says the server moved: press Move the link here and it keeps its members, items and installs.
Who can use it#
The Quasar Matrix page is part of the admin panel, so it follows the same rule as the rest of the panel: players allowed by cfg_ace_perms (for example add_ace identifier.license:xxxx qspoliceadmin allow). See Usage.
