How Integrations Work#
Paleto House Interiors provides the buildings. It does not know about owners, keys, rent or furniture, and it does not talk to any other resource. A housing script adds those on top: it draws a property around the house, puts a lock on the front door, and lets the owner decorate the empty rooms.
So any housing script that supports MLO houses, meaning a real building on the map with its own doors instead of a shell spawned in the sky, works with the pack.
Layer | Provided by |
|---|---|
Interior, exterior, door model, collisions, audio | Paleto House Interiors |
Buying, renting, keys, door locks, decoration, storage | Your housing script, for example Housing Creator |
Parking at the house | Your housing or garage script. The pack has no garage interiors. |
Housing Creator#
Housing Creator (qs-housing) has an MLO house type made for buildings like these. Each Paleto house is created once, in game, from the creator tablet. Nothing is typed into a file.
Go to the house
Pick a house from the Map Guide and stand outside its front door, so its interior is loaded.
Open the creator
Press F7 or type
/realestate, then go to Houses → Create House. Choose whether it is purchasable or rentable, and set the house type to MLO.Draw the zone
Click the corners of the plot so the zone covers the whole building and the garden. Decoration, pets and garbage are limited to this zone, so leave no room of the house outside it.
Set the entry and the doors
Place the Entry at the front door. Under MLO test coords + doors, put the viewing point inside the house, then click the front door so it turns green. The door is the pack's
quasar_housing_paleto_house_doormodel, and it starts locked.Add the extras and save
Optionally add a garage point on the driveway, a garbage bin and a delivery point, then fill in the name, price and photos and save. Repeat for the next house.
Once a player owns the house, they lock the door with [E] or from F3, and furnish the empty rooms with F3 → Decorate. All of it is explained in Housing Creator's Usage page.
Make each zone a little larger than the building rather than a little smaller. A wall or a back room outside the zone cannot be decorated, and the owner will not be able to place furniture there.
Other Housing Scripts#
Any housing script that supports MLO or "real interior" houses can use the pack. When you create a house in it, you will usually need:
Asked for | What to use |
|---|---|
Location or entrance | The front door of the house. The Map Guide takes you to each one. |
Door model |
|
Interior or IPL | Nothing. The pack loads the IPLs itself, so do not load or unload them from your housing script. |
Zone or polygon | The outline of the plot, covering the whole building. |
Door Lock Scripts#
Without a housing script, you can still lock the front doors with a door lock resource such as ox_doorlock or qb-doorlock, for example to keep a house for a gang, a job or an event. Add the door in game with the script's own tool, or by model and position:
Model:
quasar_housing_paleto_house_doorPosition: stand at the door and use the coordinates your door lock tool picks up. The house coordinates in the Map Guide are the building, not the door.
Use one system per door. If both Housing Creator and a door lock script control the same front door, they will undo each other's lock state.
Frameworks#
The pack runs the same on ESX, QBCore, Qbox and standalone servers. It does not use any framework function, so there is no bridge to set up and no detection to configure. Framework differences only matter in your housing script.
