What goes wrong most often with the Foundations Living maps, what it actually means, and what to do about it. Almost every problem is one of two things: the escrow refusing to load a map, or another map fighting for the same spot.
Installation and Escrow#
"Failed to verify protected resource" or "You lack the required entitlement"
The server's license key does not belong to the Cfx.re account that bought the pack. Check sv_licenseKey in your server.cfg: it must be a key generated on that same account. If the pack was bought on another account, transfer it from the CFX Portal and download it again.
The map starts, but the console complains about the escrow or a missing .fxap
The folder was changed after download — renamed, its .fxap deleted (it is hidden on some systems), or files moved. Delete the folder and extract a fresh copy from the CFX Portal without touching it.
"Could not find dependency /assetpacks"
Your FXServer artifacts are too old to load escrowed assets. Update the server artifacts to a recent recommended build and restart.
"Couldn't find resource qs_…"
The name in ensure does not match the folder, or the folder is not inside resources. The four names are qs_cottage_park, qs_electrician, qs_electronic_shop and qs_lamberjack_entrance — note the spelling of the last one.
In Game#
I still see the original GTA V building
The map is not running, or another resource replaces the same building and wins. Type ensure qs_cottage_park (or the map in question) in the server console and read the answer, then check the conflicts table below. If it only happens to one player, they should clear their FiveM cache and reconnect.
Walls flicker, are doubled, or props float in the air
Two maps are drawing the same place. Stop the other map at that location — see the conflicts table below — and restart.
Players fall through the floor or walk through walls
A collision conflict: another resource streams collision for the same building. Remove it. If it happens only right after teleporting in, the collision had not loaded yet — it settles in a second, and arriving by walking or driving avoids it.
The outside world vanishes when I look through a window or door
An occlusion conflict. Each map ships its own occlusion for its area; if another resource streams an occlusion file with the same name, the wrong one hides the world. Look for the occlusion files in the table below.
Textures are blurry or missing
The player's texture memory is full, usually from many streamed vehicles, clothes and maps at once. In GTA V settings, turn on Extended Texture Budget and lower the texture quality one step. It is never caused by a single map on its own.
There is no blip, marker or menu at the location
Correct behaviour. The maps are the building only. Duty points, stashes, shops and blips come from your own scripts — see Integrations.
Conflicts With Other Maps#
Each map replaces an original building and its area. Search your other resources' stream folders for these names: anything that streams a file with the same name, or another MLO at the same coordinates, conflicts with that map.
